Electro-Mechanical Lift System Version of the DT II Track Width Mine Plow for M728 and M60A1 Combat Vehicles.

Abstract

This report documents the technical effort performed under contract DAAK02-72-C-0451, modifications P00012 through P00016, to resolve the major DT II Track Width Mine Plow EPR deficiencies and shortcomings assessed. The changes addressed in this report include structural improvement along with replacement of the electro-hydraulic lift system with an electromechanical system capable of being quickly mounted to a vehicle. USAMERADCOM testing at Aberdeen Proving Grounds during the months of March and April 1976 of an M60A1 vehicle equipped with a Track Width Mine Plow System so modified, has demonstrated the feasibility of the improved system.
