Theoretical Study of Microwave Coupling in an Electrooptic Diffraction Modulator.

Abstract

The electrical properties of diffraction modulators are reviewed. Estimates for capacitance and figure of merit (watts per Hz bandwidth) are derived. Emphasis is on geometries with electrode width and spacing approximately equal to isolation layer thickness. (Author)
