Computation of Three-Dimensional Aerodynamic Flow.

Abstract

This contract extended from July 1, 1970 to June 30, 1976. The purpose was to calculate numerically three-dimensional laminar boundary layers. During the contracting years, steady progress was made on this very difficult problem, for which there was initially only a minimal foundation. As a result, the basic mathematical problem has now been clarified and numerical methods and computational procedures established. Complete solutions revealed, for the first time, basic three-dimensional boundary layer structure in all details while new separation concepts were discovered. A series of journal publications and technical reports resulted.
