Billet Crane Simulation

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop and provide an analytical model which can be used to evaluate the capability of proposed alternative crane systems to perform the material handling task at the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant. The Logistics Division of the Systems Analysis Directorate developed a computerized model to evaluate the capability of a proposed new crane systems. The conclusion was reached that the 200-ft-per minute top velocity crane should more than adequately be able to handle the proposed mobilization workload.
