Target Classification Using Likelihood Ratios and Quadrature Components.

Abstract

This dissertation presents the quantitative determination of the applicability of a likelihood ratio processor in the classification of sonar returns. The ability of a likelihood ratio processor to classify simple, similar targets was measured under highly controlled conditions.
