MPLAW: A Multipulse-Scaling-Law Code Using Data-Base Interpolation.

Abstract

This report describes a program which provides the average focal-plane irradiance of a multiple-pulse truncated-Gaussian laser beam, given the input parameters necessary to describe the laser and the atmospheric conditions. The program contains a data base consisting of 720 data points which were obtained using the NRL propagation code. The irradiance is calculated by linear interpolation (or extrapolation) of a set of points from this data base. The program can be easily modified to use an expanded data base or to accept data for other beam shapes.
