Frequency Scan/Signal Processing Study.

Abstract

A comprehensive study has been made of array feed networks for frequency-phase scanned arrays and signal processing techniques and configurations suitable for processing time scanned array radar (TSAR) signals or frequency scanned array radar (FSAP) signals. A study of system requirements for the mission of deep space surveillance and space object tracking was made to provide guidance for the feed and signal processing studies and to provide the basis for performance comparisons between the various techniques. An assessment was made of the electromagnetic capability of the radar configurations as defined by MIL-STD-469 and the Office of Telecommunication's Policy (OTP) Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Radio Frequency Management.
