An Application of Instructional System Development to Determine Financial Management Education Needs for Logistics Management Positions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research effort was to determine the financial management educational needs of USAF graduate logistics positions. Goal analysis was used to identify financial management techniques and task analysis was used to develop a method to identify the use of financial management techniques by people in graduate logistics positions. A survey instrument was developed and administered to a random sample of USAF graduate logistics positions. The survey identified financial management techniques in five areas: cost accounting, capital budgeting, working capital, financial forecasting, and programming. (Author)
