Validation of Generalized Cushioning Models for Selected Temperature Sensitive Cushioning Materials. Volume I.

Abstract

This research report utilizes the results of previous MICOM container cushioning research efforts in the development of a validation procedure for the various cushioning material models being developed. The cushioning materials considered are: (1) Minicel - 2 lbs/cu ft, (2) Ethafoam - 2 lbs/cu ft, (3) Ethafoam - 4 lbs/cu ft, (4) Polyester Urethane - 4 lbs/cu ft, and (5) Polyether Urethane - 3 lbs/cu ft.
