Using the Data Bank in Tactical System Hardening and Vulnerability Assessments.

Abstract

The data bank can be a useful tool for tactical system nuclear hardening and vulnerability assessments. This report is intended to assist the program manager in determining the extent that data banks can be used in solving his nuclear hardening or assessment problem. For programs budgeted under $250,000, a data bank can be cost effective. The results are as reliable as those obtained in a testing program, and the time saved can be considerable. The data bank and test results are compared to analytical methods of obtaining data. The analytical method gave good results for the device types investigated.
