Proceedings of International Wire and Cable Symposium (25th) Held at Cherry Hill, New Jersey, on November 16,17 and 18, 1976.

Abstract

Materials technology for communication cable insulation and jackets is presented. Refractories, polymers, antioxidants, inorganic fillers, plasticizers, and other compounding agents entering into the formulations designed to have such properties as flame resistance, ease of radiation curing, low smoke generation, fiber optics, dielectrics, nuclear shielding, and physical damage resistance are reviewed.
