Sensor Position Locator.

Abstract

A remote acoustic sensor, capable of reporting bearing information on targets it hears, may be deployed in the field without the knowledge of its exact location. This report develops an algorithm which calculates the sensor position through use of the bearing reports from a moving target whose location is known as a function of time. A math model along with FORTRAN listings and simulation runs are included. (Author)
