Abstract

Ramey AFB, located on the northwest tip of Puerto Rico, is approximately four miles north of the town of Aquadilla. The landing facilities at Ramey consist of a 300- by 11,700-ft east-west runway, 75- to 100-ft-wide connecting taxiways, parking aprons, a warm-up apron, wash racks, and blast pads. The airfield pavement failures and the consequent evaluation were confined to the reconstructed areas of Apron E.
