Abstract

The paper contains the concluding remarks and summary for an international 'Workshop on Impact of Infection on Nutritional Status of the Host' which was organized and chaired by the author under the sponsorship of the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council. Points of concensus were reviewed and major directions were outlined for new studies in this field.
