The use of Group-Theoretic Concepts in Solving Problems in Estimation and Control,

Abstract

In this paper wer describe some results obtained over the past few years in the areas of estimation and control. The point of this research is to find subclasses of systems that possess sufficient structure to allow us to determine optimal solutions or computationally feasible algorithms. In particular, we utilize several results from group theory (both for Lie and finite groups) to obtain our results. (Author)
