Abstract

The main section of this appendix consists of descriptions of major Federal entities concerned with land management, including special attention to recreation and fish and wildlife enhancement programs -- (1) U.S. Forest Service; (2) National Park Service; (3) Bureau of Land Management; (4) U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (formerly Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife); (5) Tennessee Valley Authority; and (6) Bureau of Reclamation. Information is also provided on the following six selected state park systems and state fish and game agencies: Washington--Parks and Recreation Commission; Texas--Parks and Wildlife Commission; Pennsylvania--Bureau of State Parks; Tennessee-Wildlife Resources Agency; Missouri--Conservation Commision; and Minnesota--Dept. of Natural Resources.
