Three-Dimensional, Cross-Motion, Crash-Victim Simulators,

Abstract

It is the objective of this paper to provide a summary of the relative advantages, disadvantages, and ranges of application of these three-dimensional simulators. The balance of the paper is divided into four parts with the first part containing a general discussion of the fundamentals of the modelling and the formulation of the codes. The second part provides a summary of the vital features of the simulators themselves. The third part provides a set of conclusions about the state-of-the-art together with recommendations regarding applications and uses of the codes, and the final part contains a condensed summary of the codes.
