Structural Computer Code Evaluation. Volume II.

Abstract

This document is Volume 2 of the final report on the evaluation of current structural computer codes. This program was a joint effort between the Naval Weapons Center and the Air Force Rocket Propulsion Lab to determine the capabilities of current structural codes versus the capabilities needed to analyze state of the art solid rocket nozzles. The project was intended to be a first step of a continuing evaluation process as newer codes become available. The work consisted of a survey of available structural codes, an evaluation of their theoretical capabilities, installation of 4 codes on RPL's computer, and 4 analyses and results, and conclusions of the program are presented in this volume.
