The Testing of a Regression Model for Predicting the Progression Index in Various Army Courses.
Abstract
This study was designed to establish whether a relationship exists in Army training between the Electronics Aptitude Score (EL), the Surveillance and Communications Score (SC) the independent variables, and the progression index of student learning, the dependent variable. The study was also designed to develop a regression equation for the purpose of prediction of student actual training time based on the two scores, EL and SC. The results could then be used to establish a graduation prediction and subsequent assignment of the student to his unit.
