PAR Auroral Study. Volume V. Radar Auroral Magnetic Aspect Sensitivity Measurements from the Perimeter Acquisition Radar.

Abstract

The report describes the measurements of the relationship of the apparent radar auroral reflectivity to the magnetic aspect angle. Also discussed is an evaluation of the effects of auroral clutter on the sidelobe blanker and measurement of effects of active auroral noise generation on the radar noise level.
