Development of the Army ROTC Management Simulation Program

Abstract

Development of a system of simulations, which capitalizes on assessment center procedures, for use in training of management skills in Army ROTC is presented. The program consists of four independent modules of training material, an instructor's guide and an evaluation guide. The material provides the students the opportunity to perform managerial tasks such as decision- making, problem analysis, planning, organizing, delegation, control, and utilizing interpersonal skills. The program utilizes in-baskets, individual planning exercises, and role playing.
