Seismic Refraction Studies in the Southern California Borderland, 1949-1974.

Abstract

Seismic refraction observations have been made by the staff of the Marine Physical Laboratory in numerous locations in and near the Southern California Continental Borderland; many of these stations have not been reported previously. Travel-time plots, cruise notes, position data, and layer solutions for fifteen operations in the area (30 degrees to 35 degrees north latitude, from the coast west to 123 degrees west longitude provide the basic information for studies of crustal structure, and are presented here.
