Abstract

As a result of this occupational survey, it is concluded that: (1) Although Veterinary Specialists/Technicians, AFS 90830/50/70, spend a nominal amount of time performing animal care tasks, Animal Specialist/Technicians, AFS 90831/71, do not perform the majority of food inspection tasks accomplished by the personnel in DAFSC 908XO. Survey data therefore does not provide support for combining the ladders; and (2) The AFM 39-1 description effective 31 October 1976, needs minor revision to accurately reflect all tasks performed by DAFSC 90830/50 personnel.
