A Note on the Critical Reflections of Axially Symmetric Waves in an Isotropic, Elastic, Hollow Cylinder.

Abstract

At critical incidence of equivoluminal waves, the wave motion evanesce in the case of an isotropic, elastic, hollow cylinder with traction-free cylindrical surfaces. However, it is shown that in this critical situation the wave motion can be obtained by using a suitable limiting procedure. (Author)
