Performance of the Cosite Analysis Model (COSAM) for Selected HF Equipments

Abstract

Predictions using the Cosite Analysis Model (COSAM), developed by the DoD Electromagnetic Compatibility Analysis Center (ECAC), were compared with measurements of numerous interactions at a typical cosite installation. The tests involved AM and SSB equipments operating in the 2-30 MHz HF range. Measured data are provided. Twenty-five frequency assignments were tested, each with several desired-signal levels. The types of interactions compared included adjacent signals, spurious responses, spurious emissions, and receiver and transmitter intermodulation.
