Vibration-to-Electronic Energy Transfer for Electronic Transition Lasers

Abstract

This research was undertaken to help in the development of more efficient and scalable visible and ultraviolet lasers. The goal of the project seeks to determine whether transfer of energy from high vibrational levels of diatomic molecules can occur to lasing electronic states and if this transfer can be used to produce visible-UV lasers.
