Comparative Analysis of Mechanical Reliability Determination Techniques.

Abstract

This report identifies, evaluates and compares the techniques presently available for mechanical reliability prediction. Techniques are classified in the following categories: design procedures incorporating reliability, techniques for predicting reliability, techniques for obtaining reliability data, and techniques for data analysis. A general approach for developing mechanical reliability prediction capability is outlined and research needed to further develop the prediction capability is specified. (Author)
