Systemic Metabolic Alterations Associated with Repeated Injections of a Modified Polyriboinosinic-Polyribocytidylic Acid Complex.

Abstract

Polyriboinosinic acid-polyribocytidylic acid complexed with poly-l-lysine (poly (ICLC) injected intramuscularly into rats (0.3 or 3.0 mg/kg) produces fever, altered white blood cell count, a slight depression in plasma zinc, increased amino acid uptake into liver and a two-to three-fold increase in plasma acute-plasma globulins.
