Appraisal of Air Force Training Course Field Evaluation System.

Abstract

This study was designed to develop an expanded methodology for analyzing field evaluation data, and to develop a set of recommendations for upgrading the viability of the field evaluation. Data from two field evaluation surveys were analyzed to identify meaningful clusters of tasks performed in the field. Fourteen task clusters were so identified in an inventory management sample, and eight in a materiel facilities sample. These clusters were found to represent actual jobs performed in the field. For each cluster, a number of indices were completed that provide valuable insight into both evaluation process and the course design process.
