Producibility Engineering and Planning (PEP)

Abstract

A method of estimating Producibility Engineering and Planning (PEP) costs for proposed armament systems is presented. The method is intended for use in the development phase of the life cycle of an armament system. A cost estimating relationship (CER) has been developed based upon the number of drawings for an armament system. The methodology of CER development as well as historical costs and numbers of drawings are included as an aid to the cost estimator.
