A Proposed Procedure for Diagnosis and Improvement of Dynamical Prediction Models.

Abstract

This report lays a logical foundation on which deficiencies of dynamical prediction models can be defined and dealt with on a rational basis. Measures of the quality of performance of dynamical prediction models are suggested, and a procedure with which deficiencies of the models can be diagnosed is proposed. A sample study is used to illustrate the use of the proposed procedure, and the results of the study are presented. (Author)
