Application of Digital Filtering to an Infrared Intrusion Alarm Device,

Abstract

The application of digital signal processing to an intrusion alarm device is studied theoretically. The performance of four different types of filter-comparator units is evaluated and compared. Computer simulations are also carried out to obtain the probability of target detection and the false alarm rate. (Author)
