Manufacturing Methods and Technology (MMTE) Measure for Fabrication of Low Voltage Start Sealed Beam Arc Lamps.

Abstract

A program is in progress to establish a production capability for the purpose of meeting estimated military needs for the X6335, a 1-kw sealed beam xenon arc lamp with low voltage starting mechanism. Parts for five (5) lamps were fabricated. These parts were ordered for the First Engineering Sample Phase of the contract. Lamp part drawings are complete for the First Engineering Sample. Short run welding and brazing fixtures have been fabricated. A reflector mandrel has been machined and polished. (Author)
