Towed Body Motion Measurment System Instruction Manual.
Abstract
The purpose of this manual is to provide a capability to measure a number of motions of a cable towed transducer group and the tow ship. Specifications, functional and physical descriptions are given, as well as details of the installation procedure and check-out. Operating instructions are provided along with a troubleshooting and operator's maintenance section. System components are described in Appendix A, parts lists are supplied in Appendix B, and equipment photographs are shown in Appendix C. The system was designed to obtain motional measurements on full-size equipment at sea under actual towing conditions, and to record this data continuously on magnetic tape.
