Columbia-North Pacific Region Comprehensive Framework Study of Water and Related Lands. Appendix XI. Municipal and Industrial Water Supply,

Abstract

In this study needs were developed for municipal, industrial, and rural-domestic users. Municipal users are considered those in communities of over 250 people served by a centralized water distribution system, less any major industrial users. Industrial users are arbitarily taken as major industries which use significant quantities of water when compared to the municipal users. Rural-domestic users are those not connected to centralized systems serving a population of greater than 250 people. Conditions existing in 1965 were used to determine present water use and are the base for the projection of future needs.
