North Atlantic Regional Water Resources Study. Appendix V. Health Aspects.

Abstract

This appendix will identify some of the areas of health needs for the water resources planner. The diversity of geographical, socioeconomic, and political aspects in the North Atlantic Region leads to many varied health considerations which must be taken into account during water resources planning. This report will deal with these considerations through a discussion of the following: epidemiological assessment; health aspects of water supply; vector control; and environmental health analysis, including air pollution control, radiation control, recreation sanitation, shellfish sanitation, and solid waste management.
