Abstract

The purpose of this appendix is to describe the involvement and extent of public participation in the plan formulation process for the Chicago-South End of Lake Michigan Wastewater Management Study. The general procedures used to ensure the public's involvement are explained, as are the nature and extent of the general public meetings, the interaction with citizen advisory groups, interagency coordination, and the relationships with the communication media; all an integral part of the public involvement program. Various methods of communication by which information was disseminated to the public and feedback solicited are also presented.
