Wumpus Advisor 1. A First Implementation of a Program That Tutors Logical and Probabilistic Reasoning Skills.

Abstract

The Wumpus Advisor program offers advice to a player involved in choosing the best move in a game for which competence in dealing with incomplete and uncertain knowledge is required. The design and implementation of the advisor explores a new paradigm in Computer Assisted Briefing, in which the performance of computer-based knowledge sources is greatly improved through the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques. This report describes the design of the Advisor and outlines directions for further work. (Author)
