Abstract

The purpose of this element of the Boston Harbor-Eastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Area Wastewater Management Study is to explore various possibilities of utilizing land application methods to provide additional treatment of effluents from secondary treatment plants. This is in keeping with the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amedments of 1972 and the expressed desires of the study participants to determine the best solution for managing wastewater in the Eastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Area.
