Marginal Stability Analysis: A Simpler Approach to Anomalous Transport in Plasmas.

Abstract

It is shown that an unstable plasma evolves toward a marginally stable state. From the knowledge that the plasma is marginally stable, one can calculate profiles, transport coefficients and turbulence levels quite accurately. (Author)
