Evaluation of the Harpoon Missile Shock Environment During Ejection Launch by Aircraft Launchers.

Abstract

A series of ground launch ejections of a Harpoon missile were performed to establish and evaluate the Harpoon ejection shock environment. The acceleration response of the missile was measured at 30 locations during various ejections from an MAU-9A/A and an Aero-7A-1 rack. The data were reduced to acceleration shock spectra covering a frequency range from 100 to 10 000 Hz. The results of the study produced considerable information concerning launch ejection shock environments of general interest.
