Field Experience with Acoustic Releases at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

Abstract

After considerable experience with and testing of the American Machine and Foundry Company's acoustic release system, it has now been deployed a total of 328 times by the Buoy Project at Woods Hole. Field operation and reliability, and maintenance are discussed. (Author)
