Angular Motion of Projectiles with a Moving Internal Part.

Abstract

The angular momentum for a projectile with a moving internal part is derived and quasi-linear solutions to the resulting differential equations are obtained. These solutions explain the unusual behavior exhibited by four shells in 1955: M282E1, T216E1, T306E10 and T317.
