Abstract

In Section I a status report is given on the experimental measurements of forward scattering by acoustically penetrable rough surfaces. Plastic molds from the existing pressure release surfaces have been made. One penetrable rough surface has been cast. The other surfaces will be completed as soon as the acoustical parameters of the first one have been studied. In Section 2 the acoustic waveguide problem for lossy boundaries is solved in terms of a contour integral. The eigenvalue equation is given as a function of the reflection coefficients of the lossy boundaries. (Author)
