Water Vapor, Nitric Acid and Ozone Mixing Ratio Height Profiles Derived from Spectral Radiometric Measurements.

Abstract

Two balloon flights of 27 June 1974 and 19 February 1975 are reported here. The LHe spectral radiometer which was developed for these flights is described in detail. The calibration and data reduction procedures are also described in detail. Plots of spectral radiance at various altitudes up to 38 km are shown. Finally mixing ratio height profiles derived from this data for H2O, HNO3 and O3 are calculated. (Author)
