Development of Improved Rifling Procedures and Equipment

Abstract

This report describes a process of rifling two 105mm M2A2 gun barrels simultaneously in a horizontal side by side position. The purpose of the project was to reduce significantly rifling machining time of 105mm gun barrels by a process that would be readily adaptable to production line quantities.
