The Development of Visible Molecular Lasers.

Abstract

During the grant period a basic research program was initiated to collect information relevant to the construction of visible molecular lasers, whether these devices are to be pumped by electron excitation or by chemical means. Special attention was focussed on the measurement of excited-state radiative lifetimes since the parameter plays such an important role in laser design.
