UCIN Vehicle-Occupant/Crash-Victim Simulation Model,

Abstract

Recently there have appeared a number of finite-segment computer models of the human body designed primarily to conduct crash-victim analyses. The objective of this paper is to present a description of the UCIN code with particular emphasis upon its options, capabilities, formulation and input-output procedures. The balance of the paper is divided into five parts with the first of those providing a description of the model and its capabilities. This is followed in the next three parts by listing of the input-output procedures and the final part provides a summary of the vital features of the code.
