High Power UV Laser Pumped Dye Laser Tests.

Abstract

Photochemical stability of ten different dyes emitting in the blue-green spectral region was investigated, both for KrF and XeF laser pumping, to determine the possibility of developing high power, uv laser pumped dye lasers. Several dyes were found to exhibit better stability under uv laser pumping in comparison to flash lamp pumping. Some possible explanations are suggested. (Author)
