Method of Calculation of Turbulence Effects for Computer Simulation of Laser Sensor Pointing Jitter Performance.

Abstract

This work calculates (1) the expected laser spot size, (2) a method of developing a propagation conditions parameter related to what an observer might be able to sense, and (3) the power spectrum for angle-of-arrival jitter due to turbulence in the propagation path between the laser spot and the laser sensor optics.
